The Koman Group and co-developer/co-owner Green Street St. Louis celebrated the grand opening of Chroma on June 21, 2018 with a ribbon-cutting and toast. The spectacular resort-style courtyard was filled with special guest Deputy Mayor Linda Martinez and partners from the City of St. Louis, Park Central Development, U.S. Bank, Commerce Bank, Humphreys & Partners Architects, Holland Construction Services, as well as investors, neighbors and prospective residents. All evening long, guests enjoyed tunes by DJ MoBlvd, signature cocktails by STL BarKeep, BBQ and fried chicken by Grace Meat + Three, handcrafted pizzas by Firecracker Pizza, and craft beer from Urban Chestnut.

Located in The Grove, Chroma is a 235-unit ground-up development with approximately 18,000 square feet of first floor retail. The development anchors the neighborhood on Chouteau Avenue between Vandeventer and Sarah Street. This corner is historically known as a bustling stop on the St. Louis City & Suburban trolley line, where ‘Manchester, heading North on Sarah’ could be heard from the conductor directing passengers on the trains and street cars. The tradition continues with Chroma and Chouteau Plaza as a connecting point for The Grove to Cortex and surrounding neighborhoods. Within a mile from the Central West End, and the workplaces of Cortex and BJC Healthcare, Chroma completes the triad of live/work/play by providing vibrant living spaces just minutes from both ‘work’ and ‘play’.

Chroma moved in its first residents April 2018 and will be completed by early September 2018. There are 12 floor plans of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments. Amenities include resort-style pool and courtyard with outdoor barbecues, yoga garden and hammock retreat; fitness center and studio with fitness on demand; dog park and spa; bike storage; electric vehicle charging station; clubroom with full kitchen, lounge, billiards, and table tennis; conference room and independent workspaces. On the street level, Chroma’s retail space complements the newly expanded Chouteau Plaza, a uniquely designed public space for residents and community events.
